Equity, Diversity, Inclusion

Diversity is a priority for Refined Strategic Consulting. Our founder & CEO identifies as a woman. We pride ourselves on working with organizations that value diversity and implement it at all organizational levels. Much of Refined’s experience is with organizations with clear EDI initiatives, including indigenous organizations, female-owned businesses, accessible and public service organizations and more.

Refined commits to creating an accessible environment for all stakeholders. Some of our ACA-compliant strategies include:

  • Using ACA-compliant fonts and colour schemes in all communications, planning, and design

  • Use of closed captioning for online meetings and webinars

  • Partnering with organizations that provide accessible spaces, including venues, catering, and more.

We regularly review our accessibility practices and seek feedback to ensure that we meet the needs of all clients and stakeholders.

We are committed to making continuous improvements.

Indigenous Considerations

Indigenous Considerations are an integral part of Refined’s daily practice. Our team has created lasting and meaningful partnerships and friendships with members of several indigenous communities. We actively engage with Indigenous-owned and supported businesses.

Refined is headquartered in Calgary on the traditional territories of the Blackfoot Confederacy (Siksika, Kainai, Piikani), the Tsuut’ina, the îethka Nakoda Nations (Chiniki, Bearspaw, Goodstoney), the Otipemisiwak Métis Government (Districts 5 and 6), and all people who make their homes in the Treaty 7 region of Southern Alberta.

We regularly review our Indigenous engagement strategies and seek feedback to ensure that our actions reflect the diversity and inclusion of all Indigenous groups set forth by our mandate.

We are committed to making continuous improvements.

Please feel free to reach out to us if you have feedback, questions, or concerns with any of the above EDI or Indigenous mandates.
